Individual Counselling

Counselling sessions can be conducted online, by telephone or face-to-face.

A session will run for about 50 minutes. The frequency of sessions depends on you and the issue you want to explore. Typically, we would meet more often at the start, perhaps weekly or fortnightly, and then the gap between sessions can be extended as you move into putting plans into action. Ultimately, the decision is yours.

In each session, we'll start with a recap of last time and review what has happened since then. The focus for the session will then be developed and that's what we would explore together. The goal each time is that by the end of the session, you will have a greater understanding of the issue and new ideas that you will take away with you.

Online counselling follows the same process as a face-to-face session. Modern technology allows us to communicate instantaneously with each other with most of the spoken, verbal and facial expressions that we all use when communicating. We can use technology such as Skype or Facetime. Telephone sessions are also available.
